From The Laptop Of BMarie

When I read of a story of child abuse, I always read any comments left on that story. It ALWAYS amazes me when people tell the publication to stop posting such stories. And a question mark always goes up over my head. I ask myself why wouldnt you want to know what is going on in this world. People will read everything else, watch the news about stupid stuff. But they have a problem when it comes to reporting what is happening to our children. I get that it is hurtful, and disturbing and creates an image no one wants. It would be easy to turn a blind eye to the situation all together, but the truth is enough people do that and as a result children are dying. Who is supposed to speak for this children when they cant speak up for their selves? Children are the most innocent and they are what is pure about this world. And there are people out there who want to hurt them. I will never understand why people think that by ignoring this problem, that it will go away. It wont. So until child abuse no longer exist, until CPS workers do their jobs 100%, until witnesses come fourth with information about an abuse they have seen happen, then I will continue to post these stories. And I will continue to defend why I do so. I will continue to post missing children, I dont care how old the case is. I will continue to tell the stories of lost angels. I will continue to sign petitions to causes. I will continue to support parents who are being screwed by the system. If that means calling CPS out of their lack of investigation work, then I will. If you as a person with a soul and a beating heart, cant understand why stories like this need to be told then I honestly dont know what to tell you. Except this, this is real. This is happening. Open your eyes!

UPDATE: Kyle Holland

Remember this sweet faced little boy? He died last summer after he was attacked by a wolf dog. You can read his story here.

This past summer his "mom" Debralyn Holland and her live in boyfriend Earl Adkins have been charged in the death of Kyle. I was on Justice 4 Kyle Holland and read the good news and seen some pretty great pictures.

Earl is also being charged with one count of a dangerous animal causing death, possession with the intent to deliver or manufacture marijuana after the police found 15 marijuana plants in the basement of his home.

Mommy dearest, is being charged with manslaughter, second degree child abuse and being an accessory after a fact of a felony for helping dispose of the marijuana plants.

Finally there will be some justice for Kyle.

MISSING: Richard "Cody" Haynes

**MISSING SINCE 09/12/2004**

Missing Since: September 12, 2004 from Kittitas, Washington
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date Of Birth: April 16, 1993
Age: 11 years old
Height and Weight: 5'0 - 5'1, 90 pounds
Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Brown hair, blue eyes. Haynes is addressed by his nickname, Cody. He has a round birthmark on his inner right thigh.
Clothing/Jewelry Description: A red hat and a red or gray coat.

His father's girlfriend, Marla Jaye Harding, has a scuffle with Cody. According to the girlfriend, Cody refused to do some chores he was assigned after dinner. Cody had to remain in the kitchen until almost midnight that night.
At midnight, again according to the girlfriend, Cody was sent to his room. His sisters were told not to go near his room.

Nobody checked on Cody until 5 pm the following day. At which point Cody was not in his room and his father phoned in a missing person's report.

Something terrible happened to Cody sometime after dinner September, 11 and 2:30 am later that night, September 12.

Because at 2:30 am that night, supposedly after the scuffle between Cody and his father's girlfriend, Cody's father, Richard Haynes, took a long and strange trip. When he left, to go "looking for car parts", Cody was allegedly in his room. Sent there after refusing to do his after dinner chores and after being punished by having to remain in the kitchen until midnight. Then Cody was, according to Richard and Marla, sent to his room. Two hours after sending Cody to his room, Richard Haynes embarks on a mission to find car parts in the middle of the night
This is a classic case of a child being failed by the people who are suppose to protect him. His mother, his father and the system. Cody's family was referred to CPS in December 2001 and again in February 2002. Both for physical and emotional abuse as well as neglect.  But until Cody disappeared, CPS in Washington state deemed Cody's father was satisfactory even after investigating the complaints.

On September 23, 2004, over a week after Cody Haynes disappeared and not seen since, Child Protective Services again investigated the family. This time Cody's four sisters were removed from the home.

In February 2005, police obtained a warrant searched the Haynes residence. They had interviewed Cody's sisters several times since their placement in foster care. Initially the girls said nothing had happened to their brother, but later Cody's oldest sister told investigators that he had been beaten severely inside his home the day he vanished. Police searched for traces of blood in the apartment's kitchen to back up the sister's story, but the flooring there had been replaced after Cody's disappearance and without the landlord's knowledge or consent. A second search was made and police seized a computer and Richard's Chevrolet Suburban. They also searched Harding's car. Authorities made what they termed a "significant discovery" during one of these searches, but had not elaborated on what exactly it was they found.

At the time of the original story, his father and step-mother had lawyered up. They refused to talk about their son's disappearence. They refused to go to a candlelight vigil that was held for his son.

Haynes told The Spokesman-Review he would not discuss his son's disappearance without his attorney present."I'm not interested in talking about it. I'm not talking without my attorney present. No way," he said.

Doesnt sound like a man real interested in finding his son. It does, however, sound like a man who had something to do with the disappearnce of his son.

Let's keep Cody's case alive. Let's not forget about him. It's time to bring Cody home.

Aliahna Lemmon

Aliahna Lemmon, 9,  went missing from Fort Wayne, Indiana trailer park just before Christmas Eve. Her grandmother Amber Story thought Aliahna must have been sleep walking, thinking she was going home. Aliahna and her two sisters had been staying with family friend Michael Plumadore while her mother recovered from the flu.

According to grandma, Michael said that when he woke up around 10 AM, Aliahna was gone. He assumed she went home. Grandma says, a miscommunication between Michael and Aliahna's mom is why she wasnt reported missing until 8:30 PM that night. At the time, Amber Story didnt believe Michael Plumadore was responible for Aliahna's disapperance, saying the only person to blame is the person who took her.

This past Monday, police said that around 9 PM they found Aliahna's body about a mile from the trailer park in which she lived.  Michael Plumadore, who was suppose to be caring for her was charged with her murder. According to a probable cause affidavit, he admitted to repeatedly hitting her in the head with a brick while she stood in front of  his mobile home in the early hours on December 22nd. He then stored her body in a garbage bag until later that night when he dismembered her body with a hacksaw. He than disposed of some of her dismembered remains in a dumpster and kept her head, hands and feet in his freezer. .

As the investigation into Aliahna's death continues, one detail has been brought to light. Almost half the homes in the trailer park where Aliahna lived were occupied by registered sex offenders. Including Aliahna's own grandfather. James Lemmon was convicted in 2006 for child molestation. He had plead guilty to molesting a girl he babysat, from 1996 until 2003. Michael Plumadore had cared for James in the final months of his life and had spent a lot of time with Aliahna and her sisters.

Such a tragic and horrific end for such a sweet faced little girl. It takes a special kind of monster to do something like this to a child. The final charges against Michael Plumadore will be read on Friday. He was charged on one count of murder.

The Aliahna Lemmon Benefit Fund has been established for the family. Money will be used for expenses and counseling.  Those interested in donating can do so through Salin Bank.
